The Christmas Light Professionals was established in 1989 by Vance Brand, who, after working for his father at Brand Electric and running a window cleaning company, came upon a bright idea! Because of his background, all our work is performed to UL standards, and our ladders are safety-rated with automatic levelers and tie downs.
The first year typically cost clients who install holiday decor from $500 to $900 for the cost of buying and installing materials. You are looking at labor costs, and the average cost is $300 to $600. A small tree can cost another $150 to $300, and its implementation is typically around $80 to $185.
Keep in mind that lights are a merchandise, meaning that if we put more lights on your house, business, or garden, the price would double. If you want to keep the price down, we recommend not covering all parts of your residence. If you want to enhance the size, it is not economical for large trees.
Unfortunately, we’re not charging the same price we did 33 years ago. Our pricing increases over time as the cost of materials, insurance, and labor increases. We try to keep our pricing stable for at least three years. We adjusted pricing in 2008, 2013, 2018, and 2021. This last increase has a lot to do with the labor market and gas prices over the past 24 months.
Yes. Our labor minimum is $250. To assure that we can give you good service, including the removal of lights in January, we have to have a minimum labor amount.
A 2500-square-foot newer home with two apartment lights might typically cost $350 to uninstall and install lights that are installed on the back of the house's rooftop. However, the number and location of lights on the roof can also influence a quote. This is because the size of a house's rooftop can have some variance.
A 2500-square-foot rambler will have a very different roofline than a two-story with dormers. Price will depend on the linear footage of your roofline and the height and pitch of your roof.
If lights are a commodity and putting double the amount of lights on a tree would cost twice as much, it would make sense that a 12 ft. tree would probably cost twice as much as a six ft. tree. Keeping this in mind, smaller (6 ft.) trees always look better and cost less. Smaller trees will run about $85 to $135 in labor (each depending on how heavy they are covered.).
Larger trees generally cost more, depending on the number of branches involved. In addition, know that a two-story home averages 28 feet in height, and if your tree is the height of your home, it s at least 28 ft. tall. A 28 ft. tree can cost anywhere from $300 to $2,000, depending on the number of lights you want installed.
We commonly get asked: Will you have a 50 ft. spruce a yard $250? Remember that to be reasonable in your request. To get excellent coverage of this tree, your consultation will cost $400 to $700 and a total number of days of work, if not days.
Sure, we would love to help you save! If you would like to be one of our customers who get their lights installed early, we'll gladly give you a discount! The discount is as follows.
15% off all labor for jobs preschedule by September 1st.
10% off labor for all jobs installed by November 7th.
Yes, our company installs the American-made Oelo LED product that comes in a huge variety of styles and lasts a long time. Perhaps best of all, we can establish replacements for each bulb, which is important since incandescent bulbs can now be repaired only with an exorbitant amount of money.
With Oelo you can have fourth of July lights, Easter lights, St. Patty Daylights, and even purple birthday lights. The color options are endless. www.oelo.com
Permanent lighting doesn't last forever. Most permanent LEDs require significant repairs or replacement within five to seven years. Other companies may tell you that permanent lighting lasts ten years or more, but LED lights are actually programmed to need replacement about four years after they are installed. On average, if you will happen to install 200 lights in your house, then you're likely to see a few malfunctioning within a few years. On average, the expected average lifetime cost per permanent light is $3,500 to $10,000.
The cost of installing seasonal Christmas lights, including labor and LED material, is $300 per year. Multiply that long-term expense by seven years (the life expectancy of permanent lights), and then 7 total years (the life expectancy of LED lighting) multiplied by $250 will give you the total cost of the light and material at $2,300.
We understand the allure of color options that permanent lights allow. If you are looking for permanent lighting installed on your house, please be aware that the cost would be greater than the standard seasonal LED light installation.
