Established In 1989

The Christmas Light Professionals was established in 1989 by Vance Brand, who, after working for his father at Brand Electric and running a window cleaning company, came upon a bright idea! Because of his background, all our work is performed to UL standards, and our ladders are safety-rated with automatic levelers and tie downs.

What is the cost of Christmas light installations?

Customers are likely to spend an average of $500 to $900 on their lighting installation in the first year (cost of materials and installation), and then from $300 to $600 per year on only labor costs. Small trees can add around $150 to $300 to that cost, with labor costs of around $80 to $185 per year after that.

Remember, lights are a commodity, meaning if we put twice as many lights on your house, business, or tree, the cost would double. If you want to keep the price down, we recommend not doing all sides of your home. If you want to include trees, smaller trees are always more affordable.

Does the cost of light installations ever change?

Sadly, we are not charging the same price we were years ago. Our prices increase over time as the costs of materials, insurance, and labor increase. We try to keep our prices constant for a minimum of three years. We increased prices in 2008, 2013, 2018, and 2021. This change has been primarily due to the fluctuation in oil and food prices over the 23 months prior.

What is the minimum size project?

Our minimum coverage is $250. To guarantee that we can meet customers' standards well, especially for lights to be swapped out in January, we require a minimum labor fee.

What can I expect to pay for roofline Christmas lights?

The average 2500 square foot original property board features two lights and will cost around $350 to install and take away the lights that are positioned on the peak of the home's roofline. Even so, the quantity and measurements of roofline lights can fluctuate, irrespective of the square footage of the house.

A 2500-square-foot rambler will have a very different roofline than a two-story with dormers. Price will depend on the linear footage of your roofline and the height and pitch of your roof.

What can I expect to pay for tree light installations?

If lights are a commodity and putting double the amount of lights on a tree would cost twice as much, it would make sense that a 12 ft. tree would probably cost twice as much as a six ft. tree. Keeping this in mind, smaller (6 ft.) trees always look better and cost less. Smaller trees will run about $85 to $135 in labor (each depending on how heavy they are covered.).

Larger trees can be more costly, depending on the number of strands involved. Also, remember that a two-story house averages 28 feet in height, and if your tree is the height of your home, it’s at least 28 ft. tall. A 28 ft. tree can cost anywhere from $300 to $2,000, depending on how many lights you want installed.

Can you install lights on very large trees?

We commonly get asked, “Would you do my 50 ft. spruce in my front yard? I have a $250 budget.” Please remember to be reasonable in your request. To get great coverage on this type of tree, you should expect a minimum of $2,000 for the basic to $25,000 for extravagant coverage. A tree like this requires a $400 to $700 lift and is at least a day’s work, if not more.

What discounts can I get on my light installations?

Sure, we would love to help you save! If you would like to be one of our customers who get their lights installed early, we'll gladly give you a discount! The discount is as follows.

15% off all labor for jobs preschedule by September 1st.

10% off labor for all jobs installed by November 7th.

What about permanent and RGB Christmas lights?

Yes, our company installs the American-made Oelo LED product that comes in a huge variety of styles and lasts a long time. Perhaps best of all, we can establish replacements for each bulb, which is important since incandescent bulbs can now be repaired only with an exorbitant amount of money.

With Oelo, you can have four of July lights, Easter lights, St. Patty's Daylight, and even purple birthday lights. The color options are unlimited.

Are permanent or temporary lights a better deal?

Permanent lighting generally lasts five to seven years. Unlike LED lights, other companies may deliberately state that permanent lights can last up to ten years. However, four to seven years is the typical lifespan of LED lights. Unless you gelled 200 lights onto the roof of your house, you're likely to have between one and five deserted lights by year six or seven. The cost of a permanent light setup is between $3,500 and $10,000.

The average labor on a seasonal Christmas Light installation costs $300, together with the initial LED material cost of $250. Multiply that cost by seven years (the lifespan of permanent lights), and the total yearly labor cost of permanent Christmas lights is $2,300. Seasonally installed Christmas lights are a few thousand lower than permanent versions.

We understand how alluring lighting color schemes are for permanent lights. If you intend to buy permanent lighting for your house, make sure to keep in mind that the setup would cost more due to the enhanced special features.
